Rules of thumb for Uganda

  • 160 characters or less. Anything longer doubles your cost.
  • Always include your brand name at the start so recipients know it's you.
  • Use English unless you know the cohort speaks Luganda. Multilingual templates are powerful but mismatching the language to the cohort hurts trust.
  • End with an opt-out hint for marketing messages. "Stop=opt out" is short and UCC-aligned.
